Or is Barkley exactly the type of chaotic puncher that could spell trouble for him?

I feel like Barkley could spell trouble for any fighter, depending on the night. Minter is definitely the more polished of the 2, but he stuck around in exchanges a bit too long for my liking. Im also not sure hes defensively crafty enough to avoid one of Barkley's bombs all night, but I think his positioning and straighter punches win him the majority of the exchanges. Minter should win on points but Barkley would stay dangerous, and only needs a split second to score the upset.

Minter may be more technically sound. But Barkley has the tools to hurt him.

Hmmm tough one. Minter has the skill to win a decision of late cuts stoppage but I thunk Iran has a good chance

Barkley will get him at some point even though he will probably be losing the fight at that point

I favour Minter ever so slightly, I believe he’d land the straight left consistently body and head, set up and measured by the jab, he’d also land solid jabs as well, and should be able to stay away and outbox him, but I can’t rule out Minter getting involved too much, or getting cut.

Minter´s fragile eyebrows will be a big problem, don´t call Barkley the "Blade" for nothing.

Minter had a good chin, only probably stopped by Tony Sibson in his last fight though Hagler looked like he was going to do it before cuts stoppage.

Otherwise, Minter is faster and better boxer. Young Iran struggled (stopped in 6 pulsating rounds) by the more experienced southpaw Robbie Simms.

Simms was a rugged fringe contender type fighter but doesn´t have the tools Minter had.

Oddly enough did better against southpaw speedster Michael Nunn who I personally rate ahead of Minter.

Was outslicked early on before Michael tried to go to war with Barkley and Iran put on one of his best displays in the latter part of the fight.

Barkley was an in you face fighter with great power, good chin (he need it because he was so damn easy to hit) and a huge heart.

He´s going to a handful for anyone but he´s not the fastest, easy to hit (check out the numerous wars he´s been in: Eddie Hall, Frank Minton,

Michael Olajide, Nigel Benn, Duran, Simms, James Kinchen just off the top of my head).

Outboxed by Kalambay and to certain extent former lightweight great Duran. Struggled with boxer types like Mike Tinley, Osley Silas twice

(lost the first decision and came from behind to ko Osley in the return) and Sanderline Williams.

Barring injuries I´d wager on Minter taking an entertaining decision

Barkley would hurt Minter badly. Minter could box and was quick but he bled like a *****. Light punching Ronnie Harris sliced him up. Barkley to strong foe Minter.

Minter was good but you see what happened against Hagler though he did finish on his feet he wouldn’t have lasted long. He wasn’t rugged like a Vito. Barkley is too strong fierce and durable. He ll stop Minter in middle late rounds.

I always wanted to see Alan Minter fight the sensei who taught the ninja turtles how to fight.

Iran could be outboxed but I doubt it here. Minter is a bit too fragile. Barkley TKO5
