Hrgovic will most certainly not have another serious fight, he himself stated that he doesn't want to have many more fights, he wants to make money and retire and I understand him...

Funny, I read an article where apparently he wants big fights, but he’s not getting them

He's said that his whole career. There could be some truth in it, but the couple of big fights he got he sleepwalked though.

Would love to see Allen again upset the odds but he isn't on Hrgovic's level. He likely gets broken and stopped around the 7-8 round.

its an interesting matchup because both fighters struggle with stamina and gas out after 2 rounds.

Their going to end up getting Allen hurt.

Dave,s careers already conclusively shown us hes not on hrgovic,s level by being beat by guys below Hrgovic,s level. Sticking him back in at a higher level at his age with the skillset he has and durability is stupidity.

Allen could have an Indian summer fighting guys around his level which makes it worse.

He took a fair bit of punishment from the Zhang and Dubois fights. Both huge punchers.

Goes to show why he has a reputation of having one of the best chins at HW.

Stamina is incredibly important in boxing, but this type fight is more than just stamina. Hrgovic is far far better than Allen.

Hrgovic has got so much talent, but he's LAZY and doesn't like to commit to his punches.

This matchup is proof he doesn't seem to have enough motivation to be a top 5-3 fighter.

Don’t think it’s a ‘not have another serious fight’ ever again I just think he’s keeping busy until he’s offered a serious payday.

disagree, if he’s having trouble getting fights, but he can get a good payday from essentially a stay busy fight with David Allen, he may as well take advantage of it

They should move Hrgy to fight Itauma instead and have Dave Allen fight someone else

It will be a tragedy to see Allen permanently damaged from his boxing career, but that is the road he is going down. Hrgovic sits in that sweet spot whereby he doesn't have the power to get Allen out quickly, but he hits hard enough to do damage, so Allen will most likely cop a prolonged and damaging beating. Add to that the beatings Allen endured against Makh, Clarke, Price, Yoka and Ortiz, and that is a recipe for early onset neurological issues. In an ideal world Allen would take two or three more fights to push for the British title, and after that call it a day, but he is easily led on by those who don't have his best interests at heart.

It's even worse with Hrgovic due to his right hand accuracy and his high work rate for the first half of a fight. Hrgovic is going to land an obscene number of right hands. This fight could seriously mess Allen up. Nobody is taking his best interests in consideration here; he should in no way be stepping in there with a world class operator like Hrgovic.

This is one of the only times I'll say it -- here, the ref SHOULD be Howard Foster.
