Not close people wanted boots to lose and were looking to give karen rounds. Karen didnt do **** in that fight but move and try to go the distance boots won both. Boots out worked and outlanded him.
When boots destroys him you'll make excuses and not give him an ounce of credit for proving you wrong. That's what you do. Can't wait to bump this thread after the fight we'll see who's laughing then. You never learn your hate prevents it lmfao!
Most of the people scoring it, including the unbiased Professor, didn't have an agenda against Boots at all. I mean, even I had the first match a near shutout. The rematch was a different story though, and it's one I went into thinking was a waste of time. Also I'm far from some Karen fanboy. I picked Boots by KO.
Nah neither fight was never controversial only here. Boots won both fights clear. Karen was getting points from people here for going the distance because most expected Boots to knock him out. Karen was outlanded in both fights in the first fight 203 to 97. How do win a fight while getting doubled up in punches landed like that? I'll tell you how you dont.
Because I've never seen Compubox be so far off in their assessment of a fight. Also, it's the quality of the shots, and Karen was landing some head swiveling haymakers.
Karen was moving looking to go the distance boots out landed him in both fights. He dropped him in the second fight which was the more entertaining of the 2.
You think I give AF about Xander Zayas? I couldn't give AF who wins the fight it is hardly a blockbuster match up But don't worry I am sure your mates at Ring Magazine and ESPN will rate him in the top 5 pound for pound if he beats the great Xander Zayas
The main problem with Boots at the moment is that he's got a line of people treating him like he's the King of the sport, but he has no grade-A wins on his resume, and has developed a lot of bad habits because his level of opposition has been so poor. He's been able to coast in fights, and as the Karen rematch showed, he is not hard to hit and can switch off. At the elite level, he relies on his reflexes, often keeps his hands low, and rarely moves his head. These are things he could iron out if he was fighting better opposition, but there's a point where he stagnates, and it doesn't help that Hearn is treating him like he's Sugar Ray Leonard. A fighter with a solid chin and solid fundamentals gives him a lot of problems, somebody like Madrimov. No shame in that. Madrimov is very underrated, but Boots is not this unbeatable P4P machine that he's being sold as. Zayas also has solid fundamentals and is getting better with each fight. If he can take a shot, I would not be surprised to see him take Boots right to the wire.
i predict this is more fantasy fight talk and it does not happen. No way they will put Xander in with Boots at this stage of his career.
I like the match up. This is a fight where as, if Boots was to find success, I would actually respect it as Zayas is a talented opponent who didn't move up from 130-35lbs. I'm just not sold on Boots like most others. He's clearly talented, but I've only seen him excel vs opposition that isn't supposed to even be in the ring with him being that he claims to be elite. Zayas getting this win could boost his marketability going forward. Boots isn't a huge name, but he is a talented opponent that many feel should get more respect than he gets.
