    Round 6. Spilmont pummeling Thompson. The fight would have been (British) stopped if it would have been other way around.

    Round 7: down goes Spilmont...

    Gets back up and hurts Thompson... hits him repeatedly...

    Spilmont wins by TKO! Thompson knocked out but was held up by the ropes, lands face-first after the ref waves it off.

    Great fight, what a slugfest!

    What a crazy fight. I only tuned in midway through the 4th and I was thinking Thompson isn't looking too impressive here and he's getting caught a lot by a guy who has been brought into make him look good. I wasn't scoring it but it was so competitive I wasn't even sure if Thompson was winning those rounds.

    The ref would've 100% waved that off in the previous round if Thompson had Spilmont out on his feet like that landing with that many clean shots but to be fair Thompson showed heart and toughness to hang in there albeit barely and made it to the bell. But Spilmont punched himself out and Thompson landed some huge shots to drop him at the beginning of the next round and it looked like it he was about to salvage victory from the jaws of defeat only for Spilmont to immediately hurt him again and do so himself.
