Corolla got away with one there

 

Crolla wins by devastating one punch stoppage, about 3 seconds after nearly being dropped for a fifth time. Wow.

 

Crazy fight, but let’s be honest Crolla isn’t going anywhere and he’s a KO waiting to happen. Shocking refereeing too, and then an ending that saves the home fighter and leaves Byrne taking a brutal knockout.

I get the safety argument, but you’ve got to look at the fighter, not just the knockdown count. He was answering the ref with clear eyes and still defending himself. If they wave it off, we get robbed of a brilliant comeback.

 

Exactly. This fight was a great example for letting fights continue instead of stopping them early.

 

Agreed. The only thing that rankles is the sure knowledge that he wouldn't have given the same opportunity to the away fighter.
