Patrick James Brown vs. Vasil Ducar & William Crolla vs. Glenn Byrne RBR.

And just when you thought they'd let it end naturally.....

 

Premature stoppage

The positives

Brown got a very tough customer out of there who has only been stopped x 1 before despite mixing in much higher company

Dropped him x 3

Chin looks solid

Went rounds and even though he looked tired it's understandable given he's still only a baby, hasn't been rounds, and was in with a very tough guy who has given world champions and world level guys tough fights

The negatives

His lack of defence is a concern and he leaves himself too open when he throws certain shots

 

Ducar is a really tough opponent for your 6th fight, especially vs someone who hasn't been rounds and getting him out of there is impressive period, let alone in your 6th fight. Stick him in with any other CW prospect and how many are dropping him x 3 and stopping him?

 

We had the ref for Thompson vs Spilmont allow Spilmont to tee off on a very badly hurt Thompson for the best part of a round on the undercard with Thompson barely throwing back at all and not at all for large spells

The ref for Crolla vs Byrne on the undercard allow the fight to continue after a very badly hurt Crolla had been dropped heavy x 3 in one round

And then in the main event the ref for Brown vs Ducar waved the fight off after Ducar who to be fair had been dropped twice earlier in the fight and taken a pounding wave the fight off when Brown dropped Ducar a third time despite the fact he was nowhere near as hurt as Thompson and Crolla had been

In each instance the B side or B side/foreigner was harshly done by

As said, Ducar had taken a pounding and was going to continue taking one and was likely going to get stopped but the flip side of that is Brown had never been past 4 rounds prior to that fight and did look tired albeit not so much that it looked like he was in an danger of losing

But there's no way in hell the ref doesn't stop Thompson vs Spilmont in that round if the roles were reversed

And I think the ref waves off Crolla vs Byrne in that round if the roles were reversed
