Deontay Leshun Wilder vs. Derek Chisora & Viddal Ethan Danso Riley vs. Mateusz Masternak RBR.

Can't see anything but a Chisora win tonight.

Only chance Wilder has is go for an early KO, hope something lands and finish DC early.

Think Wilder's punch resistance is totally gone, Zhang we know has pop but Wilder's balance looked totally gone also.

 

Really hoping Wilder goes for a shootout and lets his hands go in the first couple of rounds, rather than allowing Derek to grind him down in a sustained beatdown, a la Fury 3.

Also a good test for Riley on the undercard – Masternak gave Bellew a real gut check back in the day and was giving CBS plenty to think about a few years ago.

 

Would love Wilder to brutally spark out Chisora but I can’t see it. If Wilder can walk Chisora onto a right hand or survive for five rounds, he can win. Because Chisora is built for three rounds here, he’s going to gas out quickly if he can’t end it early.

Remember Wilder’s knock out on Helenius was such a short right hand with barely anything behind it. I’m clinging onto hope that if Chisora comes forward recklessly he can chin him with a similar shot.

 

Masternak Riley looks like it could be a good scrap .

I've had a small bet on Chisora to win in rounds 4-6

 

It's amazing how this on PPV and the general consensus on how the fight goes is it comes down to who is the least shite.

 

I wouldn’t put any money on it but I’d love to see that Farage supporting buffoon knocked unconscious.

I'm going with Wilder by KO.

Wilder looked mentally done with boxing against Parker and Zhang, but he looked more active against Herndon and was actually using his jab. Admittedly, Herndon is levels below his previous opponents, but at least Wilder actually looked vaguely engaged in the fight.

Chisora has balls, but physically he is a mess. He's slow, has terrible balance, and gases after a few rounds. He was never the most technically gifted fighter in his prime, but these days he is an out and out overhand merchant, so is very predictable. Whilst Wilder isn't good at fighting on the back foot, I think Chisora's predictability, limited offense, and tendency to smother his own work, will mean he can't fully take advantage of Wilder’s inability to fight effectively when being backed up.

Wilder may have lost his timing and some power, but I think he will be able to land on Chisora at will. Obviously, there will be danger for Wilder, especially early. His feet and reactions aren't as quick as they used to be, and his ring IQ has always been poor, so getting caught by a telegraphed overhand bomb by Chisora isn't out of the question. Still, I think Wilder lands a straight right and takes a tiring Chisora out at some point. Probably around rounds 5-7.

Both of these guys are miles past their best, but I am quite intrigued by this fight.
