Who's got the better legacy so far Wilder or Chisora?

I say time and time again;
If these guys are the calibre of a boxing fan, I feel sorry for boxing.
Boxings and boxers biggest enemy are its toxic “fan base”.

Chisora never beat anyone worth a damn. His best win was a gift md against a forty something Pulev.

 

Povetkin would have killed him, thus the blatant duck.

 

Didn't Povetkin **** hot? Can't say that Wilder "ducked" him because of that.

 

Del Boy was a glorified journeyman. He never turned down a fight. He was stepping stone for other etc. he wasn’t promoted to be anything more. Lost a lot but was never an easy fight.

Anyone in the fighting world respects and loves Del Boy - wilder not as much

 

Chisora has fought 4 legitimate World Champions in Usyk, Vitali Klitschko, Haye and Fury.

Deontay Wilder was able to gain the WBC World title by beating Bermaine Stiverne, then for the next 3 years, was allowed to defend that title against Molina, Duhaupas, Szpilka, Arreola, Washington and then Stiverne again.

Deontay Wilder has no credibility as a Champion, he was manufactured as this "Hardest hitting HW of all time" purely because he was the best American HW at the time. The fact he was allowed to face the opponents he did whilst champion says it all.

 

Stiverne definitely was a dangerous fighter at that time, managing to floor a tough Arreole multiple times between the two fights, which was no easy feat back then. Wilder's first fight against Stiverne is about the only time that Wilder even resembled an actual boxer. He kept Stiverne away with quick jabs and decent footwork instead of his usual gameplan of simply trying to time his right hand while completely abandoning any fundamentals he had learned. Had he built on that foundation, who knows what kind of fighter he would've been, but I think he was simply way too old to absorb new tricks and instead just went back to his usual method of head hunting. He relied on his athleticism too much, and that came back to bite him once he faced Fury.

How would Chisora have faired against Wilder's title defence resume? Reasonably well I'd say.

Stylistically, Chisora probably would have struggled most against Luis Ortiz, and he certainly wouldn't have been able to get the draw against Fury, although that might have been an anomaly with Fury coming back from a lay-off and getting caught by Wilder.

How would Wilder have gone facing Chisora's tougher opponents? Usyk, almost certainly a loss for Wilder. Joyce, Takam, Pulev, Price?

Overall I'd say Wilder has the better resume of wins, but Chisora has the better resume of total opponents, as Wilder was clearly protected by PBC.
