Opetaia made a big mistake

 

Viddal Riley being in line for a world title fight is such a joke. He hasn't done jack outside of the domestic, yet he is one win away from the belt? Lame, lame, lame.

Masternak and Riley have every right to be disappointed, if that is correct.

Masternak-Riley on April 4th had already been named as eliminator for Opetaia's IBF title and with Opetaia now stripped, logically this fight should have become a fight for the vacant title.

Masternak is IBF #4 and Riley IBF #7 and with positions #1 and #2 in the IBF rankings vacant, and Opetaia now stripped, Masternak-Riley fight effectively becomes #1 versus #5 and having already been named as an eliminator, should have become the title fight.

 

Masternak will be a tough fight for Viddal Riley, its a great test. He was getting the better of CBS before the stoppage, and Masternak is an experienced and seasoned vet.

If Viddal Riley does look great and completely dominates Masternak, then yeah I'd probably back Viddal to beat CBS to be honest.

 

They always trying to keep an uso down but they never will.

Riley beat Chev Clarke who is underrated and deserves to crack into the top 10 (of an admittedly weak division). The fight was so one-sided it showed Riley is world level, or close enough. If he beats Masternak then he’s done more than most have at cruiser for a title shot.

 

Did he? Or was it the IBF who made a big mistake by stripping him?

The answer to that question will likely be determined in a court room.

 

I think Masternak beats Riley, unless he gets hometown decisioned by Bricktop.

 

Opetaia should sue. Hope he is.
