I’d have to go with Moorer. Joshua’s too wide open and Moorer could throw from any angle and was very good at putting his punches together. Joshua’s inexperience would really work against him with a guy like Moorer.
Good fight. I'm not sure. Moorer had the style and power to really bemuse and hurt Joshua badly. But a poor version of Holyfield had him down in that fight when he turned up the heat, and Joshua has a legitimate arsenal. So this could go either way.
Michael Moorer is basically a better skilled fighter than Joshua but I don’t know if I have confident in his chin to take too much from Joshua . Tough fight
Moorer and usyk are nothing alike aside from being lefties. Usyk darted in and out with jittery movement and a more scientific style. Moorer was more aggressive and took more risks with leaky defensive lapses at times. This could either help him or hurt against Joshua who has formidable power and hits at least as hard as some of the guys who hurt or stopped Moorer. I'd favor Joshua 6/10.
Joshua wins this for me. You could use Ruiz loss as a case for Moorer, but I don't think MM survives the shots that Ruiz took.
I pick AJ by stoppage. Moorer had enough power to hurt AJ and perhaps stop him, but I think AJ can take it better and AJ will land something hard at some point.
All Moore needs is a sneaky fast left and Joshua is in huge trouble. I think Joshua throws too wide and telegraphs.
