Joyce's prime was so short it's hard to gauge. I reckon Wilder at his peak probably lands the right hand he used to have at some point and takes him out.

Based on what? Has Wilder even stopped a guy in the Top 20 of his Era?

Ortiz is his best victory, and I'm not convinced he's a top 20 active HW of Wilder's career. He himself has Dave Allen as one of his top 3/5 victories.

Ortiz was top 5 with Ring, and ranked top 6 for 5+ years. TBRB had Ortiz at No.3 at one point if I'm not mistaken.

If you asked "how many top 10's has Wilder stopped", the answer would be Ortiz x2 by my count. But top 20? We're probably talking 10+.

Prime Joyce walks him down. If he could handle younger Dubois and Parker, he can handle Wilder. It took absurd amount of punishment from a huge puncher in Zhang to stop him.

Either fighter is capable of the win, who lands their shots clean first.

    Wilder most likely.

Joyce very likely bullies him and breaks him down.

Wilders power is ridiculously overrated. No way does he hit as hard as a near 300lb Zhang, nor is his delivery system as good.

This is one that could go either way.

Joyce was very, very hittable - and Wilder was pretty decent at finding the one punch... And he had real power - at the same time, Joyce's chin was better than any Wilder KO'd... Hmm.

Equally, Joyce was pretty heavy handed and relentless - Wilder would've found that difficult, and Joyce could definitely have stopped him.

Joyce would top Wilder's resume comfortably, Wilder wouldn't necessarily top Joyce's (Parker proved more)...

I wouldn't bet on this one.

    Prime for prime, Wilder wins

Realistically all Joyce had was his chin, and it didn’t hold up when he finally faced someone with ATG power (Zhang), which Wilder in his prime definitely had

Joyce was also not that much better of a boxer than Wilder (if at all): he went life and death with old Bryant Jennings, dropped rounds to old Takam etc.

Wilder mid to late stoppage is most likely. There’s a possibility Joyce could’ve walked him down but it’s more likely Wilder would have walked him into a right hand on the way in

He was a big strong tall HW with heavy hands and a very good engine for his size. Combine that with a great chin and he had the ability to break a lot of people, especially someone as limited and vulnerable as Wilder.

Zhang was a near 300lb southpaw and more skilled than Wilder. Probably a lot stronger and harder to physically bully around too.

You don’t have to be nearly 300lbs, southpaw, or particularly skilled to beat Joyce. Old Bryant Jennings nearly did it, Chisora did do it

God I would've loved to have seen this before Wilder vs Fury 2 and Joyce vs Zhang.

The unstoppable force vs the immovable object. Would've been so damn intriguing. Although I suppose Zhang's power is not miles off, and we saw what happened, so it most likely would've been a Wilder KO.

Still would like to see it though, even with Wilder's seemingly decreased punch power, and Joyce's chin not exactly as granite as it was, although still very good. And as I said in a previous post, it completes the Joyce-Parker-Wilder-Zhang foursome. :D

Yeah Joyce probably walks him down and even beats him up a bit but Wilder will find the right hand eventually. Man just look at the bloated corpse of Stiverne landing bombs on Joyces chin. Cant see it man. Wilder just hits too hard and Joyce is way too easy to be hit.

How can Ortiz be a top 10 active HW during Wilder's career?

In no particular order - Usyk, Klitschko, Fury, Joshua, Parker, Zhang, Dubois, Kabayel, Whyte and let's put Wilder in there for sake of the argument....Oritz is not a top 10 active HW during Wilder's career. Andy Ruiz isn't top 10, but is above Ortiz.

Luis Ortiz's best victory is Bryan Jennings, Luis Ortiz is not a top 10 active HW during Wilder's career.

As for claiming Wilder has stopped 10+ of the Top 20 active HW's during his career, that's a crazy statement, at most it's one, if you believe Ortiz makes the top 20 active HWs during Wilder's career....I'm not sure he does. Even guys like Wardley, Joyce etc have much better wins than Ortiz. Guys like Molina, Duhaupas, Stiverne etc, are not Top 20 active HWs during Wilders career at all!
