Rough news. Sounds like he's taking the philosophical approach and is ready to tackle it head on. Can only wish him all the very best.

Apparently Andrew Moloney was offered $250,000 to walk away from this fight but declined it in favour of going through with it.

Poor guy. I was thinking about his career today. Sad news.

If they have given away the strength condition it's a horrible move.
With out it he lacked pop and speed with his punches. Looked to have gone backwards and people saying he looked aged.
He doesn't need to do power lifting routines. High rep high intensity with lower weights can do amazing things for speed and pop, also helps with the endurance for the muscles as well.

My concern is that Pedro is preparing Tim to win an Olympic gold medal. Not a balls-to-the-wall, knock 'em down drag 'em out, career on the line, professional fight. Physical strength & punching power matter in professional boxing & they're going to matter plenty against Spence.

I disagree. Heavy lifting is great for power. I have huge power from lifting heavy. Not the same without it though. He has aged though poor Timmy. I’ve noticed more lines on his forehead. The stress of 2024 took a toll on him. He went from the top to bottom very fast’

I agree. Pedro’s pad work is **** tbh. The majority of it is in close, speed then move his head a couple times then get out the way. I don’t like it. Igor’s was better just needed more slipping and ducking with the footwork.

The bigger news is King Davidson beat Clay Waterman! Huge upset. Waterman was $1.07

Wow. Astonishing result. I was surprised that fight got sanctioned when I first saw it. I wonder if anyone cleaned up on that result? Haven't seen it but will try to catch a replay on ESPN.

That's a massive shocker. I thought Waterman did enough to beat Aokuso when they fought.

Maybe Waterman having that stupid bare knuckle fight came back to bite him.

In retrospect the clue is in Waterman’s weight. 186lbs, miles above the Light Heavyweight limit. I’ve never thought he was a light heavyweight to begin with. I know others in the game that think similar. A shame, because he’s quite talented.
