Yes I think too they can't do nothing at 118 lbs and even at 115 lbs when Jesse Rodriguez will moved up at 118, there is still have Tomoya Tsuboi, Ryang Ho Han, Fernando Daniel Martinez, Ryusei Kawaura, Jack Turner, Charlie Edwards, Kenshiro Teraji, Ayumu Sano, Hasanboy Dusmatov... I'm not sure that the four kings can currently beat one of them. And Estrada is currently the best of them (Cuadras is the first of the big 4 that announced his retirement).

 

I forgot to said but even Pedro Guevara and Cristofer Rosales at 115 lbs currently are very far from theirs primes levels and they should theorically announced their retirements this year.

Without the head clash Tomoya Tsuboi would have finished the fight in 4-5 rounds anyway. He was already dominating Pedro Guevara from the first round and began his demolition work.

 

their best chance is wait for Bam to move to 118, then fight at 115. Because nobody at 115 or 118 is beating Bam, so best to just avoid him for aging fighters.

 

Does this put an asterisk on Bams win?

 

Not sure Tomoya Tsuboi is a hard challenge for Bam Rodriguez at 115 lbs. And I'm pretty Jesse "Bam" Rodriguez will not fight Tomoya Tsuboi at 115 lbs, and will move up before Tomoya Tsuboi will be a world champions there just like he did with Junto Nakatani when he moved down at 112 lbs for not fight Nakatani for the unification at 115 lbs.

 

This was sad to see a great fighter like Estrada no longer able to pull the trigger. So many hard fought battles was bound to take a big toll on him. Bam finished off whatever Estrada had left. Still gotta give credit to Nasukawa for fighting a good disciplined fight. He had the speed and youth to help him beat the old warrior.

Let’s see Bam against Nasukawa next. This will be a great build up for facing the winner of Inoue/Nakatani.

 

Estradas ribs were broken sometime during the 5th or 6th round so I very much doubt that. And ironically it might have happened from the punch that landed simultaneously to the clash of heads.
