Joshua responds by saying he's not sure.

I'm not Joshua's biggest fan....But I don't see how he is 'Scared' of Fury. I don't believe any professional HW would be 'Scared' of Fury, the guy isn't a huge puncher and will gladly box his way to a 12 round decision rather than try to knock you out.

I just think Joshua has had a lot taken out of him. The shock loss to Ruiz dented his confidence, the losses to Usyk further damaged it, and then I imagine seeing two of your friends killed right in front of your eyes is seriously traumatic.

The majority of the Boxing Public have Joshua behind Fury in this generation anyway, so Joshua in that respect, has absolutely nothing to lose by fighting Fury. He gets a career high pay day, and either moves up to being the 2nd best HW of his Era, or retains his spot as number 3 behind Usyk and Fury.

I just don't think Joshua is in the right frame of mind to continue his career....Against anyone. I don't think he's 'Scared'.

 

Don't think the fight happens, AJ just isn't there mentally anymore. He's very poor at articulating himself but no doubt he's still suffering psychologically from the car accident.

 

Just be grateful its even still possible after what happened a few months ago.

 

Fury looked good, not what he used to be but still elite.

Interviewer asked if he wanted to fight and the answer was a word salad of maybe I'll do something else. He doesn't give the impression of somebody who wanted it.
