I have great respect for Prograis and the great fighter he was. I'm happy he's retiring and now I hope he enjoys life. I've always believed that when a boxer steps into the ring, the verdict matters, and that whoever wins (barring any robbery, of course) was the better of the two that night, so I give Benn credit for the win. Now people are starting to talk about Garcia for him. In my opinion Benn would lose to all seven world champions in the welterweight and super welterweight.

Dana and Turki put all their eggs into the Benn basket (no pun intended  ) and lost a huge amount just to spite Eddie Hearn

I underestimated how naive Turki is and how easily misled he can be when someone blows smoke up his behind.

I hope he got a nice payday for his efforts and he further exposed how limited Benn is when fighting clean.

Prograis is a warrior and tough as teak.

However he stated prefight that he was “perfectly fine” and “good to fight.” yet postfight lists a list of ailments he had in camp.

If indeed he had these issue then should have either postponed the bout, or if chose to fight then stay quiet about the issues postfight, Benn beat the fighter in front of him, whatever ones view of Benn that is all he can do, hs win should not be tarnished by Prograis postfight revelations.

Plus the paying public at the fight paid to see a fighter who knew he was not fit before the bout.

Prograis was paid good purse, so hope he stays retired, enjoying a healthy, wealthy retirement with his family

Benn must really have no power. A blown up, overweight, no power Jojo Diaz was able to hurt with with damn near every shot he landed. Something Benn could not do.

Great interview. He admits he's known his balance has been gone for a number of fights now. I noticed there was something off with his legs at least 3 fights ago. It was plain to see

If you can pass a physical to get sanctioned, then you are able to compete. No excuses once you have entered that ring. Regis could have easily decided against competing if he felt his injuries would hinder his ability to perform. But, he swung when the bell rang, so, all is fair game

Given this is Zuffa and they are trying to build up Conor Benn alarm bells are ringing that normally wouldn't be. Zuffa has a long and extensive history of manipulating fighters to fight when they aren't ready to get their desired outcome.

Could this explanation be him trying to communicate something there? Because with ones career on the line fighting in that condition doesn't make sense.

I don't understand why he isn't getting more criticism.

He's essentially robbing the boxing public by having fans pay for a fight, which is clearly not a legitimate bout, given he was so injured.

Yep I watched the highlights he was clearly injured which is why in the weeks before it was reported as being called off.
Tough performance from Regis gotta respect his gangster he is one of my fave American fighters in recent years.
Where is the #NoExcuses energy from the gronks though?

No man with a family is gonna turn down a pay day like that. The criticism belongs to Benn for targeting a clearly over the hill injured fighter just because he has a name. It's not like he would've been hard pressed to find a different opponent.

Not sure who you are referring to there? Zuffa have been around for about 5 minutes.
