His lawyer who’s always with him is one of the strangest looking people I’ve seen. Looks like something out of Harry Potter.

The six foot six guy? In a subtle way his facial features reminded me of Valuev. He must love him as he is a walking disaster who will indefinitely need legal counsel.

These boxers cut down so much they can spend an hour in the sauna and come out dry. Big difference between them losing a few pounds and your average Joe who’s 3-4 stone overweight.

Connor Eggs Benny is a master salesman, credit where credit is due. Eddie Hearn also deserves a lot of credit for elevating him light-years above his actual skill set. Obviously, nepotism also helps immensely. It's culminated in an obscene contract which has sorted Eggs Benny and his entire family for decades. He is also fortunate that the welterweight division is in the worst condition it has been in for at least 20 years. Romero, Garcia, and Crocker are all champions. They all beat Eggs, I think, but they aren't elite; Benn beating someone like Crocker or Romero is not impossible.

We know the script by now for Connor Benn. He will talk about world level opponents like Ryan Garcia, purely as marketing. Whilst then facing his current level of opposition. The interest is always generated from who he could fight next, not who he is actually fighting.

This is something Wilder did for years, until picking on the wrong "easy" target in a post fat camp Fury where his whole world came crashing down.

Eventually Connor Benn will pick on an "easy" target which will massively backfire on him.

It is inevitable given his actual boxing level and the fact he is gambling every time he steps in the ring for another "easy" win.

It’s more the team around him than Benn himself, Conor actually believes he can beat all the names he mentions. But as you say, the risk is the illusion gets shattered the moment they pick wrong, same as Wilder did with Fury. A two-fight deal with Garcia is probably the smart move, win or lose it’s a win-win, then he can move up to 154 with a built-in excuse if it goes wrong.

The harsh reality though is, as someone else said, he’s likely not even Maxi Hughes level, which is really just his ceiling, and that’s with access to the best of the best. Everything around him feels manufactured, even the “not on social media” line. Zuffa will either build around him or use him to build someone else, and they’ve already got better fighters around his weight in Richardson Hitchins, with Teo likely next, and Callum Walsh if he moves up. Wilder is a fair comparison, just that Wilder had the power Benn doesn’t, and as Shakur says, Benn is food.

I agree. Eubank should have be boiling down to 168, not to 157.

Probably cost his career a few years

Benn vs Crocker would have been a really good, entertaining and easy to make fight but benns ego is so inflated that he believes that sort of fight is beneath him

It’s not self belief, it’s not even delusion (well maybe slightly) it’s the result of having people blowing smoke up your arse constantly, for which Eddie Hearn also needs to take some responsibility

If his next fight is Ryan Garcia at 147 for the wbc belt I will be gobsmacked, absolutely gobsmacked
