Of course he doesn't. Usyk does. Then it's a toss up between Fury and AJ but I would lean slightly towards Fury, as he has better top wins. AJ has the deepest resume tho.

Nor can we assume that Fury would lose just because Joshua did, any more than we can assume Fury would have lost 14 times against Chisora's opponents. He doesn't need to fight Robert Helenius to prove he's better than him.

Parker, in his prime, went on to lose to Whyte, Joyce (KO11) and Wardley (KO11). He deserved to lose to Chisora 1. Parker won't be getting in the HoF based on what he's done in his career.

39 is old for a heavyweight, 41 is obviously worse. Unbeaten in 11 years in better than schooled in your last fight 17 months ago. Fighting away as B-side is harder than fighting at home as A-side. Winning via clear decision and hardly taking any shots is better than going life and death.

The Wlad fight counts for more than Ngannou, Wallin or Kevin Johnson because Wlad represents the zenith of either man's win column. It's also easier to fight someone after they're a known quantity, and Fury often comes into lesser fights in poor condition. When Fury was in the position of getting a mutual opponent after Joshua (Whyte, probably Joshua's 3rd best win), he destroyed him without taking a significant punch.

The Parker's, Whyte's, Pulev's and Ruiz's are all, without exception, Chisora-level. They were not sold that way at the time though.

"What did Wilder do in his career"

He was ranked in the Ring top 4 for a consecutive 9 year period, rare historically. He had 41 KO's in 43 fights going into Fury 2, and had dropped or stopped all of his opponents. He had done significantly more in the sport than either Ruiz or Dubois had when they destroyed Joshua. If Wilder had been an easy fight for Joshua, they would have made it for 50-50, which Hearn/AJ never offered.

With hindsight though it appears Kabayel was always better than Wilder possibly Zhang, Hrgovic, Parker etc as well. So fighting/not fighting Wilder shouldn't be such an issue

I don't think Kabayel is as good as that. He went awol fighting journeymen for over 6 years post-Chisora and seemed to duck Joyce. He was considered an acceptable tick over opponent for Fury in 2020 (and Fury should know given he'd sparred Kabayel), when the Wilder situation was up in the air. Kabayel was a relative non-factor in the division until recently.

That's because he's not British and if you aren't British you don't get fights. He only got his big break against Makhmudov because Fury went to bat for him with Turkyi. That is straight from his mouth.

Who has fury beaten in his prime? Wilder was 34 I think at the time which you could argue is past prime.

I would say Usyk has the best resume at HW, but ratings move around and there are also historical rankings which have to be considered
Dubois is doing well and facing top fighters at this current time for example
