Naoya Inoue vs Junto Nakatani prediction thread

It's a good thing Sam Goodman didn't fight Inoue.

 

Going with Inoue. I think this is just a little bit early for Nakatani, especially as Inoue is still mostly prime (as far as we know).

However, Nakatani throws the exact same type of shot that has knocked down and hurt Inoue multiple times, and he throws and lands it much more viciously than any fighter before him. Will be interesting to see how Inoue prepares and adapts to it.

 

Definitely one of them for me. Casuals will have absolutely no idea this is going on, nor who these guys even are, particularly with none of them being British or American, but for us hardcore fans, this is HUGE. This truly feels like a legacy-defining fight. The fact they're both Japanese makes it feel even more historic. What a huge moment for Japanese boxing.

 

You have to have so much respect for Inoue the guy always fights the best available opponents no cherry picking no A side diva BS always willing to fight the best.

 

naoya inoue has a bad habit of dropping his right hand leaving him vulnerable to left hand shots. nakatani has a very good left hand.

i'm still leaning an inoue win, but would not be surprised with a nakatani win either.

when boxing gets it right it's beautiful. and this is a beautiful match up.
