I am not sure as to what the definition of a super fight would be but in my mind it will be in the running for one of the biggest, most important fights of 2026.

 

It most definitely should be. Especially if it’s considered a historical moment for Japanese boxing.

 

When you consider people had to enter a ballot to get tickets, it qualifies. The only time I've had to enter a ballot to get tickets for a sporting event was the Olympics. I did have to queue up overnight to get tickets to a VFL (as it then was) Grand Final back in the day but back then I had resources at my disposal & managed to turn up at a civilized hour.

Inoue fighting 4 times as champion in 2025 is such a throwback to old fighting schedules. I wish the higher weights followed suit.
