At their peak joshua will get beat in a violent fashion and he is unlikely to win at game of powerboxing. He just isn't that guy. He isn't even the second best British heavyweight of this era

He has to knock Bowe out but Bowe had immense heart every time he was on the verge of getting stopped and his chin isn't any worse, the only person who has actually been knocked out here is aj

 

Bowe never faced a puncher as heavy handed as AJ or that was bigger than him. Heart only gets you so far.

 

Bowe has taken many shots from punchers like Hide, Golota, Gonzalez, the only caveat being none of them were elite, but joshuas power is overrated anyway. He is explosive but does most of his damage via combinations

Lets be realistic here, Aj never beat anyone as good as a peak Bowe, and he got stopped more times than Bowe. Multiple characters have recovered after being clobbered by aj and came back to beat him immediately, we have 2 instances of this, Ruiz and Dubois. Heart and endurance is enough against aj if you have elite skills and heavy hands like Bowe. You say Bowe is vulnerable, but it goes both ways. Good fight, Bowe by late TKO

I repeat, there is enough substantial proof that Joshua wasn't even the 2nd best British heavyweight of his generation.

 

I could buy that. That said, AJ never seemed flakey until Ruiz. He clearly lost his mojo around that time.

 

It's possible. Usually I'd reckon that hanging in there to overcome adversity would make one mentally stronger. But maybe AJ was hurt badly and realised that he really really doesn't like that. Basically, the dog inside him was always rather small to begin with.
