    Never stopped in 143 fights (only dropped twice I think) including 2 fights with peak Sugar Ray Robinson as well fights with Carmen Basilio, Ike Williams, Joe Miceli (one of my favourite punchers), Johnny Bratton, Chuck Davey, Gil Turner, Tony DeMarco and loads more contenders.

    Terrific fighter who arguably deserved the decision over Bobo Olson for the middleweight crown.
