Help me understand something. Your title implies that Inoue was #1 but due to his performance against Nakitani he is out of the #1 spot and Usyk is 1. How? Usyk hasn't fought since Inoue was #1. How can beating a top 10 p4p opponent drop a guy from the 1 spot and be replaced by a guy who hasn't fought since he has been at 1?

I'd find it REASONABLE if he actually fought and defended against someone DESERVING of the title shot, and actually looks good on tape, like Agit Kabayel, but not even THAT.

And the worst part about this and that is pissing me the **** off is that i GUARANTEE YOU, the SECOND Usyk defeats Rico, everyone will praise him and suck his titties and toes and put him at #1 again...

Tell me how having 2 fights over the past 2 years against underwhelming and limited plodders whose only advantages they hold over you are physical, and minimal, more impressive and more worthy of a higher spot in the P4P list than someone like Shakur Stevenson, who has actually challenged himself going up in weight to fight an athletic and elusive champion that DOES NOT SUCK and has multiple wins over other ACTUAL, SKILLED opponents.

 

I love Usyk but Inoue is number 1 until Usyk fights a real opponent again and wins.

Great points. Yes lets look at it the other way around. I thinks we should hold these p4p fighter to a certain standard, fighting once a year is not enough and you should not be considered if you fight once a year and not the best available opponents. This is not about Usyk, but just like Crawford or Mayweather. In case of Usyk, he earned the right to choose to fight whom he wants but not fighting Kabayel and Parker before Parker lost, is not worthy of p4p

 

I've barely met a man that could fit into these midget divisions.

It's utterly absurd calling any of them the already ridiculous P4P, it just makes it even more ridiculous because they're on the bottom of the sport in terms of who beats them, i.e. basically the MAJORITY of the sport beats them!

They're also far from the average size of men, just like HW, so it's ridiculous to say they have more talent there.

And with the heavier fighters, they actually beat the majority so the P4P makes more sense with them even if their divisions have less talent than the middle ranges due to limited numbers. Most HW's are bad, we all know it, but it's a fact as fighters they are effective.

Usyk beats everyone in every division. The little Japanese man beats the people below him, meaning women, then some guys a bit bigger.

That sums it up.

 

Defeating Nakatani increases Inoue's claim for p4p #1 supremacy, and given Usyk's next fight doesn't add anything to his resume, the argument is much closer now.

 

YDKSAB. Weight divisions exist for a reason, and based on this logic, the lineal HW champion is always #1 p4p.

Inoue -> ???

Usyk -> AJ
Inoue -> ???

Who are the equivalent fighters for Inoue then? Fury is not murderous punching. AJ punches hard but is not a boxing wizard by any stretch.

 

If you'd watched any of his fights or KSAB then you'd know something about Nakatani.

I am confused as to why so many people are lowering the value of Inoue's win over Nakatani. #2 beat #5 P4P. A very technical fight that Inoue clearly won. Both Bivol v Beterbiev fights were closer and both those guys should be top 6. Usyk beat some giants, and I have always argued that Usyk is #1 P4P, but it is closer now, and the gap between top two and the rest is significant.
