While the greats would be great in any era, in boxing, modern is usually less skilled. They don't fight as often and they don't learn their craft as well. I have Foster winning this one.
Benavidez is unlikely to get close to Foster without being clipped by a big left hook. Foster has too much power. Foster tko 9
Hi Buddy. You speak for many, I despair at some of these silly, make no sense matchups, a waste of time on all fronts. stay safe Toney, chat soon.
I thought Benavidez lost 5 rounds in a row against Gvodzyk. Fighting someone his size that is semi retired and he wasn't really that impressive, especially once Gvodzyk got his legs under him. Benavidez's defense is absorbing shots because he's big and a extremely static high guard..................That would be silly to fight Foster in that manner. Foster would stop him. I have no doubt about it.
It's interesting. Many now pick Benavidez to beat Opetaia, who is much bigger than Foster, more skilled, a southpaw, with a good chin, athleticism and power. But Foster, because he fought 60 years ago and got stopped by Frazier (easily) and Ali, and got beat by every 60's HW name he fought, is seen as an untouchable monster by many.
This reeks of spite. Dude probably googled who was the hardest hitting light heavyweight of all time and then matched him against David.
