Which titles mean the most in boxing?

The value should come from the quality of the matchup not the name on the belt.

It honestly has varied over time and division. When the WBCs belt was a joke at HW it was strong in other divisions and so forth.

WBCs regional belts are generally the most prestigious outside of North America.

 

Never forget WBC crowning Bermane Stiverne as the champion for beating Chris freakin' Arreola while Wlad was there with his 8 year run.

 

WBC, WBO, WBA and IBF are all equals now.

The difference now is only about the design of the belt, the ranking (who can be criticize but everyone will not be agree with some places in all the fourth federations to be honest) and that's it !


Before 2000's it was true that WBA / WBC was the majors belts but now the fourth are equals.

 

1- WBA, IBF, WBO, WBC (all equals was I said)
2-The Commonwealth (specially in Heavyweight)
3- The EBU (the EBU is more important in almost all weight classes than Commonwealth but not in Heavyweight).
4- The WBC Silver, WBA Gold
5- The IBO
6- The OPBF (specially at 105, 108, 112, 115, 118, 122, 126, 130 lbs)
7- NABF
8- The British Belt
9- WBC International, WBO International
10- WBC Asia, WBA Asia, IBF Pan Pacific, WBO Asia Pacific (specially at 105,108, 112, 115, 118, 122, 126, 130 lbs).

The others....


The IBA ( of Kremlev) is probably the second minor "world" belt I guess after IBO, and then Zuffa will be there and I can imagine after it's WBF (the WBF of Samson Isaan not the other, the World Boxing Federation not the World Boxing Foundation...).
