I think it's more that their faith provided them a mental edge and helped them get through tough times in training. A motivation of sorts. I'm not religious at all but I understand it from that perspective.

That said, this is arguably the best card of the year and levels above anything Matchroom has put on in the UK this year.

Hopefully the next two fights make up for it. Expecting Rafferty v Ekow to be an absolute war, and anything is possible in the main event.

 

Hearing Dubois arrived late at the venue. I wonder if he stopped off for pie, chips and a can.

 

Pretty dominating from Rafferty so far. Think the Taylor win flatters Ekow a bit, especially after the Catterall fight, but then again he is a slow burner.

Not really seen loads of Jack beyond the Chamberlain fight, but impressed so far. Looks much bigger than Essuman too
