Yes, people will say, "Name one boxer Uysk would lose to," and I don't have an answer, as I do think he is the greatest in the division. However, Usyk and any boxer are not unbeatable. The best boxers in the early to mid-1900s would lose to bums because they fought every other day.

 

Yeah, and it plays into Fury's whole 'why would I fight Usyk? Nobody at heavyweight can beat me so I'll just fight Chisora for a third time instead" bs.

But with Usyk everyone laps it up like it's dessert.

 

It does to me and a lot of others. I have no interest in seeing AJ/Dubios/Fury 3.

 

Usyk will likely end his career with a third Fury bout, and he almost had a third AJ one had he gotten past Dubios.

Don't put it past him.

 

I don't think he made the right choice for Dubios 2, nor does he appear to be making the right choices now. He should have retired after Fury 2 imo

Belts are irrelevant, it's the standard of opponent which is the important thing.

Fury, Joshua and Dubois are the 3 most proven HWs of Usyk's HW era. The criticism of a man who has beaten the top fighters in the two most difficult weight classes to remain undefeated is crazy.

Based on wins, Dubois is the 4th best HW of this era after Usyk, Fury and Joshua.

 

He dropped the IBF to ensure his next unification opponent was either AJ or Dubios, men he had already beaten.

As for the standard of opponent and whether or not they were the best of this era until Usyk: Fury? Sure. AJ? Debatable given his losses and recent opposition. Dubios? Not quite, needs to do more before he cements himself as one of the most proven.

I don't have an issue with the opponents perse, more that he got stuck with rematches and fights so infrequently we don't get to see any of the other contenders get a fair crack at the belts.

 

Fair, but Dubios has also had more opportunity (imo undeserved) than the other top heavyweights atm. There's multiple I'd pick to beat him in an H2H.
