Well, he'd probably knock him down or have him spaghetti-legged at least once. That's to be expected, at this point. Keeping him down or hurt is another matter. Even the garbagest Fury is a man with a tremendous amount of poise, even if there's very little fitness behind it.
Fury is too muti dimensional, only thing holding him back from his best is his weight issues and lack of serious training
Stop it with the recency bias. Dubois is nothing special, he doesn't beat anyone that's an ATG or close.
If AJ money wasn't available Fury would fight Dubios next for a belt... Infact Fury is probably considering fighting him next regardless. Very tempting. Dubious hits hard but hitting hard is not boxing. Fury sparred dubious when he was 350 pounds for fun. Different levels. Usyk could do the same.
That would be epic, if he gets the WBO, fights AJ and the winner fights Usyk for a chance at 1-2 but undisputed
This fight didn't change anything. Even before this fight i would have expected dubois to beat fury. Did you see him against makhmudov? Fury has no legs for a whole fight. His stamina is suspect, he has no hard punches anymore and has to rely on flicker jabs and feints. Dubois doesn't bite on faints, has good stamina and pacing, a great jab and can totally box, even it is more like the classic eastern european style, squared. Fury is old now. Still top ten, but not in the top 3 anymore. Fights go for 12 rounds. And fury is knocking noone out. He will lose against the best and dubois is among the best. People see fury winning easily against dubois or kabayel, because they imagine him dancing around them and tagging them. He can maybe do that for 2 rounds and not even then will he avoid all damage. Both dubois and kabayel can keep him under pressure for 12 rounds and both are dangerous enough to significantly Impact the fight if they get into the right position. But even if they don't land their best punches, fury should not be the favorite in those fights anymore.
I think Fury's feet are just too good. He'd probably maneuver around Dubois the way he did Whyte, Chisora, Makhmudov. Dubois is a bigger puncher than all of them but it's not much if he can't land a clean one, and as shown in the Usyk fights Dubois becomes discouraged and looks for a way out when things aren't going his way. With that said it's hard to tell what the legs of 'present' Fury are like. Keeping things in order for 12 rounds against Makhmudov isn't the same as having the stamina/focus to do it against Dubois. Dubois could definitely grind him down. Problem is I think Dubois would've taken a knee by then.
I don't know how anyone can be confident in Fury beating Dubois at this stage in his career. I thought Fury looked pretty bad in his recent fight vs that Russian fella and was easy to hit. Fury hasn't beaten a top 10 rated Heavyweight since 2022 which was against a shop worn Whyte. Fury also has alot of trouble staying in shape.
Yeah, don't see how anyone can say Fury 100% beats Dubois. Sorry ol' Makhmudov was landing some big right hands on Fury. Dubois would be coming forward the entire time, swinging, and trying to brawl. Don't know that Fury has the gas tank and/or punch resistance to deal with a rampaging Dubois for 12 rounds. Certainly doesn't have the power to stop Dubois. It'd be like fighting Wilder all over again except Dubois is much more polished than Wilder ever was.
Fury vs Dubois depends on whether Fury's punch resistance / recovery is still what it was. Between the Wilder fights, and the 2 Usyk ones he took some damage. Dubois jab is a weapon, so whilst I'd make Fury favourite, seeing a DDD win would not suprise me in the slightest. Eventually Fury's fight/retire/balloon/comeback/fight/retire/balloon cycle is gonna catch up to him and he will come a cropper
