Dubois still a quitter

He proved that he can overcome adversity. He ain't no quitter. Winners never quit. And quiters never win.

 

Labeling him as a quitter is misleading, because clearly he has had to overcome adversity in more than just one fight.
You simply never know with him. Dubois can give you a Gatti like performance, or he can pull a Victor Ortiz.

 

Dubois is actually strategic. He won’t take pointless beating. He proceeds only in a fight he knows he has a chance to win. All else considered he just might guarantee a long career without needing to sip food through a straw in the end.

 

DDD is a quitter. He has 23 wins 22 KOs. 3 losses, 2 against Usyk.

I don't know what is wrong with OP et al, but seriously, just go back to where you came from.

People are gonna hate on you for this thread but I kind of understand what you're saying.

Wardley only had brief success with the knockdowns.

The 1st one was a flash knockdown a glancing blow on top of the head.

The 2nd knockdown Dubois voluntarily took a knee.

Outside of that Wardley was mostly swinging recklessly and wasn't really able to land many solid blows on Dubois.

So yes I do think Dubois could still quit again if the opponent is consistently landing on him.

 

Nah, he only quits when he can't hit his man back. He doesn't mind getting hit.

 

Well that's debatable IMO.

I can't get the image out of mind of Dubois quitting after a jab.

And then the other time voluntarily staying down for the 10 count and then getting straight up and walking straight past Usyk.

Dubois wasn't hit that often by Wardley the 2 knockdowns flatter him a bit IMO.

I'm not saying Dubois didn't show some heart but he wasn't hit that often in the fight.

Wardley was just swinging for the fences and missing all night.

I'd be curious to see how Dubois deals with someone like Kabayel I think he'd test Dubois's heart/will.

 

You had the mental fortitude to pass up on that opportunity.
Impressive to say the least.

 

And lets be fair, he was totally justified in quitting against Joyce. I cant imagine what it feels like to get hit on an eye like that, over and over, round after round.
Hell, Saunders mocked him for it, yet he himself quit the moment his eye got messed up. At least Dubois tried to fight with the injury.

 

He got hit a lot vs Hrgovic, and also got hit by miller but in both he was able to fire back.

But he also headbutt Hrgovic like a billy goat so that win has a bit of an asterisk over it IMO.

I don't rate Miller that highly TBH.

I'd be curious as I said to see if Dubois could withstand Kabayel's constant pressure and body punching.

That would be a major test of his heart/will.
