And there's 1000 threads about him on the front page. He knocked out an over the hill Joshua who was always a massive hype job anyway. Usyk pantsed him and showed what true greatness is. I'm not impressed.
When exactly was Wardleys prime? When he should've lost to Frazier Clarke When he lost every round to Huni When he got a controversial stoppage vs Joseph Parker?
So... Usyk the GOAT beats Dubois, and he's trash? No, Dubois is arguably the best HW in the UK, and has beaten everyone put in front of him not named Usyk. Most of whom people said he'd lose to. Joyce was too seasoned and Dubois was too green, no big deal. Now give the man so props, he's earned them!
Yes, Wardley lost this fight because Dubois aged him out. Dubois also gently kissed him on the forehead, which clearly made Wardley lose focus and forget how to jab at range and outbox him; he clearly fought the wrong fight because of that. Also, the referee totally paused the fight while Wardley was beating Dubois up in the 7th round and kept him separated. He even paused the action to put Dubois’ gum shield back in so he could rest in the 4th. It's like Wardley was fighting two people. Dubois, I hope someday you lose everything and become a binman.
Throw all boxing terms out of the window for Fabio. There was no peak, hill, decline, etc. He was winging it the whole way, and good on him for it!
I have stopped calling fighters trash and bad because I am usually comparing them to ATGs and that is not fair, but I am gonna compare him to what is out there; Dubois is good for what is out there right now. Wardley is good too imo. The reason Dubois won was because Wardley didn't have the Stamina to take him out plain and simple. Usyk beat Dubois off of Stamina and Wardley didn't have that.
Over the hill? When was he under the hill exactly? Dubois is the #2 HW of 2020s until proven otherwise. The rest is jibber jabber.
Canelo at 23 was green but 21 year old Dubois has been absolutely crucified for losing against a juggernaut in a prime Joyce who could take a shotgun to the chin. Love the call out here, the subtle attempt to discredit Usyk is pathetic. Usyks stock rose massively again after Sat. I said Dubois was way better but the question was how much did he have left after Usyk brutalized him, same way I’ll question Wardley in his next fight.
Wardley was getting a little overhyped, as recency bias tends to do. However, 31 is not over the hill for a fighter.
Wardley was WBO World Champion having beaten Parker, after Usyk vacated the title rather than face Wardley. Despite Wardleys lack of amateur experience, how can a 31 yr old holder of a recognised World title in only their 22nd professional bout, be viewed as overrated or over the hill?
Wardley is not over the hill,,,,he never got to the hill much less to the top of it. His wild amateurish overhand rights make Deontay Wilder look like a boxing technician.
