Dubois has an ATG level jab

Recency bias. His jab didn't save him from Joyce and Usyk.

 

Can we please get a 100 posts before thread creation capabilities rule.

 

And its why his jab is so good. Its like hes maxed out specific stats on it, and now hes developed a power jab with solid timing. Problem is that its all his jab is, and there are really no more layers to it. Wardley caught him over the top several times due to how predictable the jab was, and the second knowckdown was a counter right hand over the jab of Dubois.

Ironically, Wardley´s right hand is similar. He always has it ready for a full swing counter, or for offense, and this leaves him extremely vulnerable and defensively reliant on his reflexes. Also, its predictable.

 

ATG comes from all time great.

II doubt you know your "all time" to say that.

 

Usyk the 2nd time had an easy time with Dubois because he let him gas himself out.
Usyk didn't particulary trade jabs in that fight.
It was just ,let Dubois punch himself out while he puts mental pressure on him standing infront of him being in complete control of the fight and short bursts throwing punches. When he gassed, Usyk put on the pressure and Dubois realized he was screwed

 

Not an ATG level just yet, but very good. May be the best orthodox jab in the HW division since Wlad.

 

Dubois is nothing special, this forum should be renamed the Recency Bias forum.

 

I would suggest letting his career play out before labeling anything about Dubois ATG, but when he is on with the jab it's a joy to watch with how heavy it is. Seems to lack versatility though, at least currently.

 

He really has a good jab. In the wardley fight there must have been 50 times where he hit wardley just before wardley wanted to get off his right hand and I was as impressed as you are now when he showed his great jab for the first time against gorman.

But then came the joyce fight that put that a bit into perspective. Because joyces jab beat dubois jab.

But yes dubois has a great jab and it seems to be getting better. He also has the head movement behind it to win the jab duel against a faster jabber in wardley. But i don't see ATG yet.

 

I see your Dubois jab and raise you: Dubois KOes Usyk with his jab in the 3rd fight.

 

Fury wins all hypothetical matchups until he actually has them.

If fury would ever face dubois or kabayel, many people would have to update their beliefs. But probably still wouldn't. He's like a fantasy super hero

 

He has an ATG jab because he's good at power jabbing people with no head movement?

Any time literally anyone uses a power jab they have "an ATG jab", as if the only determining factor behind whether a jab is ATG or not is power.

His timing is also not ATG. The things people with ATG timing on their jabs can do is silly, just straight up make the other guy look stupid walking into their punches.

 

I doubt you know what makes for a great jab.

 

I know it s not the best in his own era so using logic it csnt be ATG.
