Every time a ranked heavyweight or lighter weight star wins the forum lights up with their names. Average wins are almost as if they've beaten ATG's and if they have a big win, lookout! It's like boxing didn't exist previously.

Cooney blows him out of his shoes

 

Dubois's track record vs big fighters stands out as an indication he can take Cooney's best punches. That said, those fighters didn't have Cooney's overall skills. Interesting match up. I think Cooney may be able to outbox him over 12 rounds. He held his own with a prime Holmes who is far better than Dubois.

I’d argue that it’s living in 1982 to expect a guy who never beat a top ten contender and got knocked out every time he fought someone with a pulse to beat Dubois, who has already beaten multiple contenders and belt holders.

 

Dubois has already accomplished far more than Cooney though. It's not recency bias to favor the guy who is far more proven.

Frankly picking Cooney seems borderline disrespectful to the far more accomplished Dubois
