Source - quite literally everywhere. What do you guys think? Personally, 'Zuffa' itself sounds clown AF to me, it just sounds corny. That itself is enough for me to hate it. To top it off, we have arguably the scummiest person on the planet, Donald Trump level person in Dana White, who out scums Don King, Al Haymon, Bob Arum etc put together (WOW) As much as I hate how many belt there are, the corruption of the alphabet belts etc; this Zuffa crap with Dana as the face is legit making me throw up
Its most likely financed by Turki, and its unlikely that Shakur appears on any of the actual Zuffa cards. Its completely meaningless. I cant wait for the Saudi´s to finally kick rocks. Thanks for playing, now its time to leave. And Zuffa will die a slow death because they simply wont spend enough money to become a major player.
Can only hope it’s not too far from now. Zuffa benefits absolutely nothing for boxing. And Turki has now become too power hungry to the point that he wants to control boxing as a whole.
Well I mean has put a lot of money into it to actually make fights happen hopefully it just means more big fights dno why people are that upset about it
I like Jones passion, but also the WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO helped drive boxing into the dirt. Not saying Zuffa is the answer but the orgs aren't either
What Jones is saying applies more to Top Rank and other promoters than to Zuffa. The big promoters "freeze out" talented boxers who are not from the USA or UK. Zuffa has actually signed some of those guys: Rakhmatullo Boymatov who we saw last night and Umar Dzambekov.
I think the orgs should start merging with each other and have a mega event every 3-4 years where the champions fight each other.
Dana White promised he would change the game. How? By doing the same thing everyone else is doing - inflating the market? How is it fair for UFC fighters like Sean Strickland to get one million dollars for a fight, whereas Stevenson, Haney and Benn are getting 8-9 figures? If there aren't any major changes in the way fighters and promoters conduct business, there will be horrible ramifications across both sports and combat sports in general.
Turki has 60% stake in shares in ZUFFA no promoter can match the money that he and TKO will throw at boxers, it's the start of the end of boxing.
Or Turki and the Saudi money could go the way of LIV golf Barely 4 years in to LIV golf and the Saudis are walking away. Don't be surprised the same happens to Zuffa.
