Outside of Usyk, I’d only favour Kabayel Itauma I just haven’t seen enough yet, there’s no indication to how he deals with pressure, how his chin is, if he can fight 12 rounds at a high pace, but it’s possible I wouldn’t favour anyone else I find it surprising people are giving Joshua a chance - Dubois completely outboxed him, it wasn’t a lucky win by any means, and he’d just do the same again in a rematch.
Possibly Kabayel, Zhang, Parker. If they don't underestimate Dubois, they can win. Wardley had overconfidence against Dubois compared to Parker (Parker was against him). Usyk prepared super well in the rematch, no overconfidence, look how it turned out (Dubois was against him). Zhang-Kabayel, same. Then there's data they could study from the Usyk-Dubois 2 fight. Dubois goes down himself, he doesn't like it (hence clean face often), don't give him the impression he can win, he will doubt himself. Hence lesser fighters had good performances and upsets since time immemorial.
The only one I'm sure would beat him is Itauma and with an honest referee who stops Dubois from head butting, Hrgovic. However several others like Kabayel and Fury would have a chance. Huni is a more skilled boxer, so he would have a chance of winning a decision, but it would be a dangerous fight for him.
Teremoana is heading towards the stage where he will be a contender. He makes short work of cannon fodder and needs testing against tougher opposition.
Hrgovic no way beats Dubois. He's mediocre at best. He has beaten nobody notable so far. The Binman trashed him and he would do it again.
To a non-Brit I can't describe how insane it seems to me that people still think AJ would beat DD in a rematch. The first fight was definitive and almost two years ago, AJ is older while DD is squarely in his prime.
I think only Usyk for sure and Moses perhaps. Make Moses 50/50 because I still have unchecked boxes. Heart, chin, engine and Dubois, on his 'by any means possible' best night will test those. Kid doesn't even have the guile to disguise his bar room brawl tactics. Those rating Hrgovic. The same Hrgovic who had an entertaining war with...Adelaye? Who has all the tools to stay away from a big, dirty fighter like Dubois but who looked defeated when he realised this wasn't the same kid he beats up in sparring. Kabayel I make Dan a strong favourite over. Suspect gas tank and fights in from a stance made for Dubois. Ko before 8. Zhang gets brutalized with jab and stopped on his feet midway.
Dubois moves better than Kabayel is technically better has a better engine has a better jab hits harder more athletic and Dubois has shown zero vulnerability to the body and Kabayel is very easy to hit. The Kabayel hype is SO bizarre I would favour Dubois heavily. and actually I would still give Wardley a chance of chinning Kabayel in what would likely be a come-forward not very technical brawl.
I think as it stands, Usyk, Fury and Itauma would more than likely beat Dubois. In my opinion, Dubois needs several top level sports psychiatrists working around the clock to try and unlock the inner greatness that he possesses.
Usyk is the only strong favourite. Tyson Fury might be a slight favourite but considering he's so easy to hit now, I think Dubois could definitely take this. Itauma I'm not sure. Kabayel would be interesting. Everyone else Dubois would be a favourite. AJ is too old now and it would be the same outcome.
