All credit for Dubois for bouncing back numerous times when people wrote him off.

He doesn't shy away from challenges and has built up a respectable resume now.

But I don't view him as a legit champion he's still a contender for me.

Dubois won his belts from Usyk vacating the belts so I don't see how anyone else but Usyk can be viewed as a legit champion.

It just seems bizarre to me Dubois is winning vacated belts from a fighter who knocked him out twice in Usyk.

So it's pretty hard to view Dubois as a legit champion quite honestly.

I have nothing against Dubois and good luck to him in future fights as long as he steers clear of Usyk.

But until Usyk retires for me Dubois is just a contender holding onto a belt that really belongs to Usyk and it doesn't hold much weight for me.

Yes, he is a contender with a trinket. The actual champion has made him quit twice, so of course it's absurd to call him champion. Impressed by how he has bounced back from those defeats, though.

I strongly disagree. Many people have been champions with lesser achievements.

Smashed up Hrgovic and AJ very badly, faced adversity vs Wardley who beat Parker and won by a considerable margin.

Miller, Hrgovic, AJ and Wardley is a great resume. That is a worthy champ. He's faced adversity in these fights.

Meanwhile everyone is jacking off over Itauma after beating no one of worth.

Since his early career loss to Joyce he's only been conquered by Usyk.

I said this before, but in an ideal world with one belt, Usyk would lose the belt as soon as he ducked his mandatory and fought a kickboxer instead. Kabayel is the real champion.

That's worthy of praise but it doesn't mean he's worthy of being called a legit champion because in my eyes he isn't.

I don't see how you can been classified as a legit champion winning 2 vacated belts from the actual champion who dismantled you twice.

He's a top rated contender and that's how he should be viewed IMO not a legit champion as it stands now.

His caliber of opponent is good enough to warrant being champion.

    Well that's debatable.

But regardless the fighter who held all the belts was Usyk.

Dubois is only winning a trinket of one of those belts because Usyk decided to vacate.

Again it's pretty hard to legitimise a fighter being called an actual champion winning a vacated belt from the real champion who destroyed him twice.

He's a deserving, legitimate titlist, but not a champion. There's only 1 champion.

I would agree with this but since Usyk is pissing away time fighting kick boxers he deserves to lose 1-2 belts just for that.

That's also a fair point to be honest.

Of course he isn't. Just like Wilder wasn't the champion. Just like Stiverne wasn't the champion. Just like Parker wasn't the champion. Just like Martin wasn't the champion. He's a title holder and a contender. Usyk is the champion. There were only 5 champions in this millenium: Lewis x2, Rahman, Wlad, Fury and Usyk. Vitali and AJ were strong claimants.

Of course he's not the champion

The real champion is Usyk obviously
