Then again, they said this about Fury. But in this case, it has the ring of truth: https://bolavip.com/en/boxing/oleks...a-daniel-dubois-trilogy-fight-for-good-reason
Sad to see Usyk is ducking Dubois. It seems Usyk watched the Dubois vs Wardley fight, he got scared and announced that he wouldn’t take a third fight with Dubois. He realized he would lose to Dubois by knockout this time.
Ordinarily, Dubois would deserve a shot at the champ but the same champ has already beaten him twice.
It's 1-1 now. Dubois won the 1st fight with a body shot, but the ref disallowed it. The trilogy will conclude who's really better. George Fox should put pressure on Usyk again and lure him into trilogy: This content is protected
I find it understandable that Usyk wouldn't be interested in facing a fighter he's already defeated twice by stoppage. Honestly, I doubt even Dubois would want to fight Usyk for a third time. What would change this time?!?!?! And we're talking about a matchup that wouldn't be very interesting, because we've already seen it twice. I hope Usyk faces Kabayel after Rico. That's an interesting fight in my opinion, and it's a fight we've never seen. I'm also pessimistic about the Usyk-Kabayel fight being organized. I hope I'm wrong. We'll see, May 23rd is only a week away.
‘Because of that success, reports suggest the 39-year-old is more interested in pursuing fresh challenges rather than revisiting opponents he has already beaten convincingly’ I pray he feels same about a 3rd fury fight.
Thank god. Sadly, I think Fury 3 is written in the stars for Usyks swan song. Just too much money for him to ignore it. I don't particularly blame him either if Fury racks up a couple of solid wins first.
