Well yes, because his career hasn't finished yet. I didn't say his victories would be undone.

They've got a date, venue and a condition that if Hrgovic doesn't lose, it'll happen. Frank Warren appears to be backing it too, It's about as close to official as you can get at this stage.

But what he has already accomplished guarantees his spot in the pantheon.

His legacy is established and secure, with room for improvement. But the same can be said of others who still managed to dip below peak-form and hang around too long. I try not to personally hold that type of thing against older champions, but if general perception is reality, it happens.

Again, I didn't say he doesn't have a spot in history. Not sure why you're slipping in points that weren't relevant to my post. He's automatically up there by default purely for being the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis.

But his career isn't over yet, and there's still improvements he could still make to be even greater still. I'd like to see it happen.

I'd still like to see him fight Parker! Right after Kabayel.

The thing is, I think for Usyk it could even out. He has enough left and enough options that if he loses one, he may say to hell with it and hang around until he is 45 getting mostly victories. If he finishes 32-1, but those victories are all first class names, has he really lost that much?

It could even out. And no, I don't think that would do much to detract if things played that way. It would even possibly improve his standing under the situation you depicted. But that's just one of many possibilities, which circles back to Kiwi's prior point about his career not being over.

I like his confidence and he doesn't seem like a bad guy.

I don't think he has a chance vs Usyk.

But if you're top level professional you have to believe you will beat anyone.

If you don't have that self belief then you're in the wrong profession.

He's a nice guy, like Usyk, humble, respectful and one of sports true good guys and also, like Usyk, he's a fearless warrior who has forged a career fighting the best and taking on the toughest challengers and it's nice to see good people get rewarded. He says all the right things and one thing's for sure is his confidence is very real.

Just not excited for this at all. It's a show, not a fight.
