More skilled: Pernell Whitaker or Mike McCallum

    I have to go with Whitaker but McCallum had a well better than average skill set.

    And sense intervenes. Exactly, effectiveness. What does skill mean if it doesn't translate. Extra tinsel?

    Both tremendously skilled but Pete's higher level of athleticism, agility, handspeed and reflex means that he can outmanoeuvre his opponent in ways that Mike's excellent timing simply cannot always do so.

    This means he has a higher ability to implement his skill on his opponent due to his greater degree of speed and sharpness.

    Whitaker. McCallum could be outboxed whereas Whitaker never really was.
