I’d be mad at him for that last fight. It’s clear what happened. He can sell tickets. They used his name to sell tickets to a match he had no chance of winning, to build up his opponent for a future fight against Ituama. His corner and the ref knew he had no chance of winning, both were watching and waiting to stop it almost from the opening bell. I’m sure Allen was well paid for it (possibly a career high), but doing that crap isn’t endearing at all to fans. I’d be mad if I’d paid to watch that. About the only person who can be happy with that fight is a Hrgovic fan who always wanted to see Filip get mean in there.

Well but if fights descend into pure cash grabs, i won't really be enticed to watch them.
Have dave allen fight someone on his level and i wish him all the best, but give him a top ten fighter, then the Fight will be as bad as early build up fights

 

Yeah but you're disputing whether or not he's worse than Dave Allen. In that comparison getting smashed by Bakole(opposed to someone else) is A okay.

I get the sense that Dave seems in servitude to his fans, and he feels guilty about the Hrgovic non-event, hence the rushing back to the ring. Ultimately he needs to consider his own health and wellbeing too.

 

Good point but I am suggesting he's more disappointing considering he's an olympic gold medalist. I actually gained a lot of respect for Yoka in the Bakole fight because he seriously toughed it out.
