Who was the better trainer not only as achievements but in general and could be more useful training a boxer?
Gonna consider just their most famous athletes for this. Blackburn imo trained the most perfect boxer. But, he probably had more to work with. Goldman had a more challenging prospect, but found a way to make him great (but not as flawless as Louis was). I think both got as much as they could have out of Louis and Marciano. I'll give it to Goldman cause I think that would require more creativity, but anyone that could teach me more about others they both trained could change my mind. I like this topic btw. It's interesting to talk about and learn more about the great minds behind some of the great athletes.
Jack Blackburn might be the greatest trainer of them all. Ray Arcel was one of fhe few who was able to witness Blackburn and Louis working in the gym. He carved a masterpiece in his work with Louis. Jack also worked with Sugar Ray a bit up in Pompton Lakes. According to Ray Blackburn would correct a fighter without embarrassing them. Jack had 2 other Champions i believe before Joe.
