Ref actually screwed Usyk there. Usyk was absolutely going to stop Rico, even with the ref giving Rico 20+ seconds to put the mouthpiece back in. Now everyone is going to say Usyk robbed Rico. LOL.

Also, I GUAR-AN-FREAKING-TEE you that JABBR will have Usyk well ahead on the punch stats. But everyone in this thread claiming Rico was up by 7 or 8 rounds. YDKSAB.

 

Usyk always finds a way to win. What an uppercut nearly took Ricos head off.

 

I’m a huge fan of Usyk but that was shocking from him. He needs to give him a rematch and retire

 

Rico. The round was about over. All had to go was go out next round and cover up, do nothing, not get KO’d, and he’d won.

 

The stoppage was quick but Rico was gone

 

Disgusting stoppage. This terrible performance, the stoppage, alongside the fact this bout shouldn't have been happening in the first place, has really put me off Usyk tbh.

 

The bell rang and then a second after he stopped it. He should have sent Rico to his corner for his 60 second break

 

Anybody who knows Rico from kickboxing knows his recovery is decent. Given he'd take it to the cards- id give him a proper chance to take the belt home.

These crossover fights are never good for boxings reputation.

I give Rico credit for his performance but Usyk didn't look good and the stoppage was not a good look either.

 

His gas tank ran out mid way through the 11th, I could see him falling in badly. That was the difference.

 

Yep. He did it earlier on too when he was really hurt.
