It would've been nice to see it without the ref waving off the fight literally as the bell is ringing to signal the end of the 11th round

These crossover fights are never good for boxings reputation.

I give Rico credit for his performance but Usyk didn't look good and the stoppage was not a good look either.

 

His gas tank ran out mid way through the 11th, I could see him falling in badly. That was the difference.

 

Yep. He did it earlier on too when he was really hurt.

Rico is a stud for sure. great effort, With that being said I'd rather Usyk finish him on his own terms, he would have got him out of there within a few minutes. Respect to both men, good scrap,

 

It's great Usyk won but I think he has one fight left in him

 

I feel bad for this guy he proved me wrong and did a hell of a job against the kingpin of the HW division. Respects to him.

 

That stoppage was embarrassing for boxing and totally unnecessary, the round was over and Usyk would most likely have knocked him out anyway. It suggests that they were worried he could still lose.

 

The ref leaves questions unanswered between these two, would Usyk have finished him off or would Verhoeven have recovered between and took it to the scorecards, who knows how it would've turned out? The bell had rung and the guy was coherent and still able to get up.

 

Might not even have that. Wise thing's maybe retire now.

Bad fight from Usyk. I was sure that Verhoven must slow down and tired but think it happend much quicker.
Usyk was lazy today and got bad strategy.

And reffery should give us 12 round. Usyk will probably end it in 12 but now there be cobtroversy and talking how Usyk was safe...

Rico was ready for loss it but you should give him this chance to survive after his performance

 

Usyk might not fight many more times,been a great what he's done.

 

He's more solid than Ngannou imo.
