Who looked worse: Fury against Ngannou or Usyk against Verhoeven?

His opponent was a 1-0 kickboxer. **** off. Usyk embarrassed the sport of boxing tonight and I write him off no different than Fury after that Ngonnou fight. He is a disgrace.

 

Unfortunately on cards before the robbery stoppage there was a draw (!!!!). They couldn’t afford Usyk loosing so judges looking for any excuse either to stop fight or in this case they would have given close victory on points to Usyk which would have been even more disgraceful than terrible stoppage.

 

This is a really difficult one for me.

On one hand Fury squeaked a UD after being dropped.

On the other Usyk got beaten up for 11 rounds and got awarded a stoppage after the bell.

I'll go Usyk with the worst performance, but only by a hair. For someone who is supposed to be the GOAT, that performance was inexcusable and has tainted his legacy.

Just to remind you, he just stopped the giant Dutchman.

 

Who cares, he's a giant of a man and a very good fighter in his own right who fought the perfect fight, but, was still stopped, amazing ain't it.

 

Both were terrible and disgrace. Though would go with Fury since he was dropped. But they are quite close in their terribleness.

thank god Joshua didn’t play any games and took everything seriously. Which should have been the case for both.

 

You can make a reasonable argument that as a heavyweight Usyk was not one of the GOAT even before tonight's fight. But to now call him a "disgrace to boxing" or a "POS" seems like a massive overreach to me. He had a very bad day in the office at the age of 39 against a very well prepared, massive, and intelligent man who is considered by some as the greatest kickboxer of all time. Usyk except for one fight (which he did win albeit controversally) had a great career and represented the sport very well. I just hope he stops fighting now and retires.

Usyk came off his cycle and just was not on it at all

I'm just mad dude. That was pathetic... I love boxing... and As a Philly fan I keep the same energy no matter who Im rooting for. Usyk had no business losing 9 rounds to 2 against a kickboxer...

 

Usyk. Fury legitimately won that fight, albeit by like one round. Here, Usyk had won only 1-2 rounds out of 11, legitimately scored a KD, then with one second left the ref waves it off?

such shitty reffing. Usyk deserved the chance to actually get the KO, and Rico deserved the chance to survive and win on the cards. Instead they both got robbed.

I believe is mostly due to terrible stoppage and not taking this fight seriously (unless, Usyk deteriorated).

 

Didn’t Rico look every bit the high level HW operator though? Dude can box quite well. He just proved it.

 

Kinda hard to say which turd stunk more.

 

In fairness, Muhammad Ali looked like absolute **** by the time he fought Spinks. Getting old overnight is a thing and happens to some of the best. Tonight it happened to Usyk.
