And what do you think of Roy Jones Jr getting stopped in a round by Danny Green? He didn't rematch him either. So I guess he was exposed and looked bad and was a right coward?

Let’s not talk about the demise of Roy, his career doesn’t exist after Tarver 2 in my eyes it’s just too painful apart from the Trinidad win lol.

No, I'm saying he's more SKILLED than 80% of the Top 20. Comprehension levels seem to be quite off it many of you in this fight's aftermath.

I mean... for **** sake, he just proved that he was more skilled than Fury, AJ and Dubois, at times, even more skilled than Usyk. But I'm the delusional one?

I reckon that Coopinger and Grisham did more damage to boxing giving their casual take as casual fans think that the commentary are experts. Coopinger’s card was a disgrace and misleading to the casual viewer.

Add to that, the fact that for Verhoeven this isn't going thu the motions of another day at the office ... I may be wrong, but this is for a fight headlining a huge huge event, for career high money and future opportunities, against the biggest name you could hope to be matched against. His prep. would have been the absolute best if could have possibly been no doubt, and if ever there was a time to give your all and win at all costs, this was it.

Are you for real? he got stopped FFS, that is definitive.

It was not some wonder punch out of the blue in a one sided beating from Jones, Jones was demolished.

16 of 20 might've been too conservative an estimate. IF you can't process what you witnessed yesterday, you might be in denial too.

I knew there was something up with Coppingers card when he gave round 3 ( from memory) to Rico. Him giving the first two to Rico didn't bother me but 3 was clearly Usyks. I could see the writing on the wall from there. Virtually every round on his card was scored like the even round you give to the dude who's been completely shut out of a fight. You find any excuse to give him a round out of pity. The problem for Usyk (and rightly so) was that virtually everybody pre-fight never really saw him struggling for a second in this fight. So any positive action from Rico was going to be magnified. I thought Usyk was terrible in this fight but he again found a way to win. I didn't score the fight but I thought it was fairly even.

Also let us not forget, that little weasel Todd Grisham is also a commentator for Glory, and has done several Verhoeven matches, he clearly was personally invested in shaping a narrative, and his outburst at the stoppage was shameful.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way in the eyes of fans. There's no better example than Mike Tyson. Remember, Usyk looked perhaps the best of his career in the fight before, and Rico himself is not much younger than him.
Of course, I agree that you can't take away gold medals if you won them in style. But people remember you from your last fight. A lot depends on Alex's PR. If it's presented as a bad day at the office, fine. If he gets a rematch and outclasses Rico, fine. But the truth is that years later, you remember the dry result, not the style, and that works to Usyk's advantage.

    That was humiliating.
