The unknown of Ricos style won't be there again, and Usyk would train his ass off and come prepared.

Otherwise it will haunt Usyk's legacy forever. I agree it could a robbery too. Usyk won 3 rounds in first 10 rounds, and scored 2 knock downs in round 11. If he could score another knock down in round 12, it could end as a draw at best, we don't know.

Kabayel can wait.

Yes. I think he's more or less obliged to rematch him considering the circumstance. If he doesn't rematch and beat him, it will be a hard to ignore blemish on his record.

Personally, I think in the rematch he'll beat the brakes off him à la Dubois 2. Unless he really has just aged over night and has nothing left anymore.

 

Kabayel then Rico rematch.

Turki seemed to want that order, too, and if he's footing the bill then he may get his way.

 

Dubois is a weird fighter who has shown he lacks belief in himself when he sees no route to victory, specifically against Usyk (the Joyce fight he had a fractured ******* eye socket he didn’t quit there) yet will pick himself up from the canvas when he’s having enough success to stick in there. He clung to the low blow shot (at minimum it was right in the zone) and disregarded any other reason why he lost the first fight and was rightfully confident from his performances between those fights. His confidence was kind of misplaced since he always wanted to talk about something else other than addressing why he didn’t get up against Usyk. Then it happened again much quicker once Usyk decided he’d never let him pick any rhythm up. Usyk knows he can take Verhoeven out but we didn’t see any quit or weakness in the guy, it was round 11 and Usyk still looked confused, usually from round 6 we see him go up the levels. So it’ll be an interesting rematch, you would think he’d study and make the educated adjustments but could Verhoeven get even better after doing those 11 rounds?

 

Unless he’s fine with this hanging over him he has little option. I suppose Fury is fine with everyone saying Ngannou beat him up.

 

To be fair he is never going to one up Joshua completely demolishing him in two rounds so it’s a lose lose on the credibility gains and the financial gains. He said he gave him a good fight no excuses and moved on.
