Enhanced Games still has nothing on 80’s athletics, especially the women’s side. I mean, 100m–800m and a load of field event world records are still standing from that era.

By today’s standards, those at it now probably look like rank amateurs compared to some of the old Eastern Bloc state-run programmes. Can’t imagine what women’s boxing would have looked like if it had been around then, but one thing’s for sure, it probably would’ve been far more explosive and entertaining – guaranteed some of them would have had bigger traps than a peak Holyfield.

I think you may be on to something there.
The only way to make womens boxing watchable is to make it mandatory that they all take good old 80s steroids by the boat load

Said it before but what women's boxing needs is a Mike tyson type fighter just smashing people

Usyk paid tribute to his country, and we all know what we are told is happening over there.

He claimed his people are in bomb shelters, including his family and daughter, yet his wife was ringside...

Would not surprise me. Mick had to take Tyson to court to get money owed to him.

I didn't bother watching it, I hate these crossover things. The favourites don't train as intensely, the fights closer than folk expect, and they all walk away pockets lined. Was it ppv? If it was then that's next daylight robbery.
I'm a big Usyk fan, I think he's the best heavyweight by a mile in terms of boxing ability, but with his age, and smaller size, he's going to come unstuck sooner or later tho. Iffy stoppage as well, but I've seen worse, he did look to be on ***** street.

Just watched it again to score it up until the stoppage.
But **** me I can't stop laughing, because all I keep seeing in my head is Rico shadow boxing up the street as Jim Carrey in me myself and Irene!!
Now I know what he based his training and tactics on!!

Rico was awkward and unpredictable with heavy hands but was starting to tire. I do think if it went to round 12, Usyk would have won but Rico deserved the chance to see what would happen as I think he was ahead on the scorecards. He was, however, given abit of a long time to recover.

As for Torrez Jr, there goes another great American heavyweight hopeful. Add him to the long list of hyped up heavyweights that get found out, along with Charles Martin, Baby Miller and the rest of them. What a shame (no sarcasm or irony intended as I'd love to see a great heavyweight boxer attempt to dominate the heavyweight game).

Was he actually losing this? I didn’t watch it, didn’t even know when it was but just watched some highlights on the BBC and read the cards.

    When will these boxers learn?
