I hope he doesn't but he was openly rooting for Belly in their fights and why should Usyk have to give Rico a rematch in Holland when their fight was fought on neutral soil?

And why does he have to fight Kabayel in Germany when he sold way more tickets in neighbouring Poland than Kabayel did in Germany and there are a lot more Ukranians living in Poland than Germany?

Are Kabayel's German fans incapable of travelling across the border to Poland? Surely if he's such a big star as we're told they'll cross the border into Poland in their droves to support him like Usyk's Ukrainian fans would do from the other side to support Usyk?

As said, I'm not opposed to Usyk fighting either in their countries but at least afford him with the respect of asking him what he wants to do and where he would rather fight them when he's the bloody champ and calls the shots

He shouldn't have to fight Kabayel in Germany that I agree with Usyk has fought enough in other fighters backyards.

Kabayel said he's been waiting for his shot well he should be willing to fight anywhere then if he's that hungry.

I don't see why Kabayel should get home advantage especially against an aging champion.

Kaybayel already has a big size, youth and freshness advantage, and a power one too but they want him to have home advantage too?

Again, as said, I'm not even opposed to Usyk fighting him over there it's just disgusting how he's constantly expected to keep doing this and by the fans of fighters who have never done once what he forged a career doing and likely never will and these exact same fans will crucify him for suffering a loss or underperforming in these fights when he's old and past his prime and their boys are too cowardly to ever do what he's doing

I head some ignorant clown yesterday saying that Crawford has never had a close fight. Yeah, no ****, Sherlock. Very easy to say when your boy was a massive weight bully who was very often the much bigger or bigger guy, very rarely the smaller one, and literally never much smaller, let alone way smaller or ever fought someone way bigger despite moving up 5 divisions which is impossible to not do unless you're a massive weight bully

Literally never being at a reach disadvantage in any of his fights

Fought 41 of his 42 fights at home always with US refs and with like 51 of the 60 potential judges in his world title fights being from the US and only 1 of them being from his opponent's country

With every foreign world champion he fought sans one fighting him in his country and obviously all his fellow American ones fighting him over there too

And having fought a ton of featherfists and average punchers at best and barely any KO artists or legit bangers his size and on one of the extremely rare occasions he did he got dropped

And being allowed to move onto the next opponent after having a razor-close and controversial fight with one of the extremely few punchers his size he did fight instead of giving them a rematch despite the fact they were the champ not him, brought their world title to his country and fought him on a deck stacked with a home ref and 2 home judges with the 3rd judge coming from a neutral country

It is what it is, Usyk is 39,turned up too heavy,Rico fought out of his skin. As for who was ahead and how far they were ahead well that argument will roll on forever.Watching it back I thought Rico was a couple of rounds up going into the 11th but the knockdown levelled that. Had the ref not stopped the fight too early we would have seen the conclusion we were all robbed of. Without a doubt Usyk would have gone into the 12th the fresher fighter in better shape and would certainly be looking for the stoppage, would he have got the stoppage ? We don’t know but I think he would have took the round which would have gave him the victory, again some thought he was a mile behind Rico but like I mentioned I only had Rico a couple up. Hopefully now Usyk gives his head a shake and gets back to Boxing and forgets all about this cross over BS ! Usyk was ordered to fight Kabayel as part of the WBC deal allowing him to fight Rico,so hopefully this is next, not in 12 months time either and hopefully neither does Usyk vacate the WBC belt . Should Usyk beat Kabayel, the best of the chasing pack imo then that will go a long way to repairing the fall out from the Rico fight .

I thought Usyk and his family also have a residence in Oxnard California .

Yet even with all of those advantages. This happened! Which everyone has conveniently erased from their memories.

Well, these are the type of fans who think Super Boots shutout Karen in the rematch and won zero rounds in the first fight even though I agree Super Boots was a wide winner in the first fight. But Karen objectively won a few rounds in the first fight if you're actually being fair and he won many in the rematch and bare minimum 4-5 and he had a good case for winning 6 or 7. Either way, it was an extremely competitive fight and the scorecards were absolutely criminal

Same thing with Crawford vs Madrimov. Many will try and have you believe it was far easier for Crawford than it was an the scorecards were wide in his favour

What are you on about? Where did I praise him so much?

Hate to break this to you but boxing and kickboxing are entirely different sports requiring different skill sets and physical conditioning. Rico was a complete boxing novice. Kickboxers do what, 5 rounds? He did a full 11 against the heavyweight boxing champion in his second fight.

    Stop being silly.

He has longer, bigger arms and longer reach, and he has bigger torso. And he is obviously stronger than Usyk. It's not an easy thing to fight a bigger stronger opponent. Still, Usyk achieved to TKO him.

Not entirely... watch younger Vitali Klitschko.. he brought that exact same upright style of punching & distance control he had into his boxing career .. barring the leg strikes he is basically the same fighter. Verhoevens been training with elite HW boxers for years. So i wouldn't call him a novice. He's the Glory champion ffs not some randomer they pulled off of YT.

Interesting watch but it does feel a bit generous to Uysk IMO. But people did get carried away as well many 8-2/9-1 cards for Rico live which I find too wide as well tbf.

I wonder what the deal was that was made to allow Usyk to take the Rico fight before fighting Kabayel, the only details we do know was that he was ordered to fight Kabayel straight after the Rico fight. At this point I don’t think Usyk is bothered were he fights tbh,he’s mostly been the away fighter throughout his career and now he’s got the money bug it seems,he will just follow the money willingly to wherever pays the best .

I haven't watched it yet, outside of the first minute. I haven't even rewatched the fight yet either. I just posted it in this thread for reference and will add more when I find them. But knowing Usyk and his slickness I feel confident he was blocking and slipping at lot of shots many suspected were landing and not being credited by many for some of the work he was doing or doing in between Rico's shots
