Fighters that were never the same after a loss

It seems to me that after that defeat, Prince Naseem Hamad only had one more fight for the rest of his career and won. I'm not one hundred percent sure. In any case, MAB Vs. Hamad is one ATG fight.

 

Ricky Hatton, he had nothing at all to be ashamed by, but that check hook from Mayweather started a very sad spiral which he never recovered from. The fans still loved him but wasn’t enough for the champ. The Pacquiao loss was a lot worse but there was already enough emotional damage, then was reinforced by a truly frightening knock out. He would never beat Pacquiao but especially not after the Floyd KO.

You think so? Lazcano was a solid win, and so was dominating Malinaggi at that point in his career (he had defended his strap a few times IIRC, and would go on to lose a controversial decision to Juan Diaz before spanking him and getting the nod in the rematch.)

 

Miquel Cotto - Shame too since Margarito cheated with the plaster wraps, but that fight Cotto learned it was ok to lose.
David Reid - Felix Trinidad basically broke him.
Michael Grant - Lennox Lewis broke him.

 

Naah, disagree with this one. He already had like 5 title defenses leading into the Tito fight, including a win over Winky. He was a champion with some good wins under his belt, it would have been silly to duck Trinidad.

Whats what insane, was putting Tito in a title fight when he was not even 2 years into his pro career.
Dude was finished before 30.

 

I still think Vargas needed a little more time in the oven, maybe 2 years, for the Tito fight.
