I think Arguello can be since he only made it to welterweight during an ill fated comeback.

Im not holding it against a fighter who had a few bouts at 147 when they were old men.

Being a Dixon fan is so cool. Dixon is like blues or horror where I really wanna be the type of guy who likes them because that type of guy is really cool but I always fail whenever I try. I don't meet the cool threshold. I hope it's like a palette you can train or something. I'll get there one day.

    1. Joichiro Tatsuyoshi.
    2. Akira Yaegashi.
    3. Erik Morales.
    4. Fighting Harada
    5. Román González
    6. Bobby Chacon
    7. Jung Koo Chang
    8. Juan Francisco Estrada
    9. Orlando Salido
    10. Katsunari Takayama

Not counting guys like Duran, Canzoneri, Pacquiao, etc.

The ordering was tricky and 2-3 guys missed out. Really the only placements that are concrete are the top 4. 5-12 are always swapping with each other.

For fun the others in contention were Israel Vasquez, Moon, Yabuki, and Tapia

Edit: Wait did Marquez really not fight at welterweight? Shoot that makes things harder.

Mayweather, Pc, Duran etc. had loads of success at welter so even though they started below, i am not counting them.

I am counting Arguello since he was never a welter and only fought there during an ill fated comeback.

Basically guys who never fought above 140 at any times near their prime.

Marquez can’t be either, quite right, I’ll replace Leonard with Prince Naz. Seems like replacing a gourmet burger with a McDonalds quarter pounder but such is life
