Peak Artur Beterbiev vs George Chuvalo, Ingemar Johansson, Max Schmeling, and Oscar Bonavena

He would win a decision against Chuvalo and stop Bonavena late. Schmeling beats him, not sure about Ingo because while Artur is leagues above him with regard to skill and overall talent; that right hand would probably be the hardest punch Biev ever tasted and his defense isn't great so how will he take it? He's been dropped and hurt by far less.

 

I'd favor him over Johansson. Loses to the rest. Schmeling knocks him out. Chuvalo TKO. Bonavena pts.

 

I don't see him stopping Ringo.

 

He wastes Schmeling and Ingo in a few rounds a piece. Gets the nod over Chuvalo and Bonavena.

 

Johansson could go either way.

He would probably beat Chuvalo by decision and lose the rest.

 

Im not at all convinced Bonavena or Chuvalo hit harder than Beterbiev opponents like Callum Smith or Yarde. Even Johansson failed to stop plenty of guys not exactly noted for durability.

How does bringing up guys Beterbiev kayoed help your case here?

 

Bonavena is the only tough fight here for me. Ringo is awkward and physical and would probably not be stopped. I think Bonavena could force awkward exchanges and make the fight ugly and difficult to judge.

Max Schmeling is a technician but would be out of his depth vs. Artur. Boxing evolved a lot between their eras. Chuvalo didn't have sufficient technique or speed to beat Artur but could land some good punches on the inside. I don't think Ingo could handle the power of Artur, and would probably be stopped.
