    It's that time again, now that we are halfway into 2026. What fights have been your FOTY contenders so far? For me the best fights so far have been:

    Gvodzyk vs Kalajdzic is probably my favourite of the year so far. As well as the ones you mentioned, the other highlights have been:

    Huni vs Clarke
    Liddard vs Denny
    Tellez vs Mendoza
    Valenzuela vs Torres
    Edwards vs Powar
    Cardenas vs Martinez (pretty sure they’re doing a rematch soon as well)

    Murtazaliev vs Kelly probably wasn’t the best fight ever but it happened where I’m from and it was cool to see Kelly get the upset so I’ll mention that one too.

    You’ve really got to add Usyk vs Rico. For one, it was actually a pretty solid fight. For another, just the shock of it, makes it a must watch.

    all credit to Rico. That fight could have been garbage, but he’d been learning to box for real for years in sparring apparently, and showed up to win with a great gameplan.

    As a casual boxing viewer, it's either Wardley vs Dubois, or Rico vs Usyk.

    I have no idea who the other boxers mentioned above, lol.
